ACI 330R: Design for Industrial Concrete Parking Lots – (Presenter-Ken Justice)

Concrete pavements may be used in a variety of applications including streets and parking lots. By using suitable design techniques and appropriate details a designer can develop an economic and sustainable concrete pavement cross section that will perform for many years. This seminar will provide instruction on how to design and detail concrete pavements used in streets and parking lots by considering the traffic loads, soil conditions, concrete properties, and resulting pavement stresses.

Learning Objectives • Understand the appropriate pavement design methods for low traffic volume applications. • Recognize the subgrade soil strength and traffic input requirements for design. • Learn how to optimize a concrete pavement cross section to be economically competitive while performing as intended over the design life. • Be able to complete a basic concrete pavement design for low volume streets and parking lots.

Who Should Attend? Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Developers, Building Owners and Product Manufacturers
