Design and Construction of Concrete Parking Lots for Industrial Facilities
Concrete provides a strong and durable surface for vehicle maneuvering and storage areas, making it especially suited for site paving at industrial and trucking facilities. These facilities are often designed to handle not only over-the-road trucks, but also other types of equipment such as forklifts.
This program provides an in-depth understanding of the differences between concrete and asphalt parking areas particularly with regard to design. Attendees will learn to evaluate the inputs needed to design concrete parking lots using ACI 330R-08 Guide to Design and Construction of Concrete Parking Lots and the new ACI 330.2R-17 Guide for the Design and Construction of Concrete Site Paving for Industrial and Trucking Facilities. Additionally, attendees will be introduced to two design assistance tools - NRMCA's Design Assistance Program (DAP) and PavementDesigner.org software program.
