Diamond Grinding & Next Generation Concrete Surface

The Carolinas Concrete Paving Association (CCPA) and Carolinas Ready Mixed Concrete Association (CRMCA) in partnership with the NCDOT (Divisions 13 and 14) are pleased to offer a 4-part series of 1-hour webinars during the month of June.  The sessions require individual registration and will be presented by industry and agency experts in their respective fields.

This session "Diamond Grinding & Next Generation Concrete Surface" will explore
how diamond grinding concrete pavements can improve surface characteristics such as ride, friction and tire-pavement noise. Various pavement surface textures will be compared in order to understand the benefits of diamond grinding both older and new pavements.

Speaker Info:

John Roberts is the Executive Director of the International Grooving and Grinding Association (IGGA).  Prior to joining the IGGA, John was employed by Ebasco Services Inc., where he worked on projects ranging from radioactive cleanups to reconstruction of the Manhattan Bridge.  John also was the owner of a concrete contracting company located in New York where he specialized in the construction of bridges, pavements and structures.  John was an honor student graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
